A Life of Invention: Mr Nicholas Bredimus

The revolution in airline travel and hospitality was touched off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who combined them with the computer industry to establish new procedures. He has worked on projects ranging from the creation of time-saving software programs to increasing aircraft safety and even designs for high-value houses. Glancing at Mr Nicholas Bredimus‘ heritage anyone could tell he was sure to achieve greatness. The line traces its ancestry all the way to the time of Rome’s glory and proudly boasts a broad mix of nationalities. The maternal line mingles German and Scottish stock. A similarly broad mingling stands out in his father’s branch; ahead of emigrating near the end of the nineteenth century, Bredimus’ forerunners dwelt in England and Luxembourg.

Naturally, following arrival in America, the family maintained its drive and determination to go far. Nicholas, who would grow up with his six siblings, was born to a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer and his spouse, a practicing nurse. He would come to live in Arizona, Kansas City, Texas and a city by the name of Reston in Virginia.

He’s taken on prestigious roles at businesses throughout the air travel sector - the bulk of them major brands. Among these was included the vp position for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, and Republic Airlines. Most celebrated, however, was his prowess as an inventive software architect working with the airlines. His innovations in the field of airplane maintenance management computer programs, now employed throughout the airline sector though initially programmed for one specific firm, ultimately led to what is still his most popular piece. He created countless other pieces of software for the hotel and airline industries both before and after, among them robotic systems to take and record airline bookings, used by more than fifty firms, not to mention his innovative client based room reservation system for the hotel industry, which was first rolled out at more than seven hundred venues. He went on to design a system called QuikTix, an automated ticket sales network.

Nicholas parlayed these successes into positions unconnected to software development, and continued to excel in these sectors as well. He worked as manager for American Express’ important IT department, started up Bredimus Systems seventeen years ago, and had the honor of becoming the inaugural president of a major American Airlines division.

Right now, though, Mr Nicholas Bredimus has stepped back from his airline connections and the software design industry, though rest assured he’s still making best use of his skills. Currently, his creativity can be found in luxury class houses built around many of the most advanced green technology out there. It’s really stunning how far energy can carry you!
